This is really one of those moments where you're making an issue where there is no issue... sure, the only reason we depict God as a male is because of the thousands of years where our genders were inequal, but if you read the bible a lot of that shit is sexist too. We're all in the image of God, He isn't a physical object. If you really think this is an issue and the Pope needs to address this, remember that the church still can't agree whether or not gay people are allowed in the church (which is absurd that we can use a line from the bible to discriminate against people.. that's against God's teachings).
It's a hard concept to understand so people just go with "He's a dude." The church can only go one step at a time.
