What are you applying for?

If it's like fast food temp jobs and you applied at 9 different places then your doing something very wrong and you should review your resume. If it's like a high paying company job then your being stupid if your thinking off getting hired on a High School diploma.

This is not entirely true.

Experience is one part of what employers look for, but there are more important factors like race, gender and difficulty of the occupation.

You guys who are having difficulties scoring interviews are probably white males born in a middle-class status and applying for jobs that anyone past an IQ of 50 can do competently. The easier and less important a job is, the easier it is for an employer to give it to his son or to an affirmative action hire in order to boost diversity statistics.
The important and harder jobs can't be outsourced to stupid people, so employers will be less likely to play favorites here. At a civil engineering firm, no manager is going to risk hiring an unqualified person to design bridges. For some joke job like in HR, the manager can easily hire his child and have no effect on the company's bottom line.

If you are a white male who wasn't born into high status, go for engineering, actuarial, or other high IQ occupations. Those are the only fields where you actually have a shot at getting a job that doesn't pay minimum wage. The easy office jobs that pay well go to minorities, women and children of rich people.
