Fact or Fiction: Overwatch at 35 kills

I was told at some point by another player (neither of us was hacking, so it wasn't an accusation) that once you hit 35 kills, no matter what you were doing, you get automatically Overwatched. For months, whether I've been hacking or not, I've avoided going over 34 kills to keep myself safe, because Overwatch has false positives, and of course, when I'm actually hacking.

Does anyone have any information on whether this is actually true?

If you don't know anything, don't say anything. I won't be mad at you for not knowing.

I've gotten over 35 plenty of times, but I also got overwatched pretty recently. Mind you this was after being reported at least 20 times according to those typing from the other team in MM.

Just be careful. Don't wall ghost players. Don't walk in places where you know opponents generally don't hide/camp. Don't use trigger/aimbot consistently. Allow yourself to be killed by players that you wouldn't have normally seen or thought to check for. You should even allow yourself to get killed in easy clutch situations where perhaps even without hacks you shouldn't have.

How do I know that i've gotten overwatch?

You don't. It's hard not to go into a MM and not have someone complain about reporting you though(even without hacks most times). You should really just assume that every match will be reviewed. All it takes is one shady kill for someone to report you.

It's also worth noting that overwatch only provides the reviewer with a randomly selected 10 minutes of the match AFAIK. Would like to know if someone else can confirm this.

You are correct. There is only 10mins of gameplay. Btw you cant rewind demos in overwatch so its easy to skip something so as long as you dont hack obviously u can get away with 1-2 shady kills maybe.

i think reports will be connected to yr steamid over an unknown period of time which are not deleted combined with a new ranking system on overwatchers which will weigh on the judgements or caserevues brought up. on top of that smurfs accs will be harder to get as it demands an number of hours played before you even can play competitive matchmaking.

Complete BS, during the last weeks we've seen ragers kill themselves at each ends of rounds for lowering their K/D, but tbh this is kinda useless, peeps getting more and more paranoid, thx gaben.
