I'd say swearing has become embedded within modern English. It's not so much the actual swearing but vulgarity in general.
not related to what I said above but it's one of my favourite clips from a movie that involves a lot of cussing.
English is not my first language. So, when I was learning this language obviously no text book would teach me something like swearing (cussing). The Internet fixed that of course. But what became really astonishing to me when I've started speaking fluently, watched my first films without translation, played my first games with foreigners, is an enormous amount of swearing, vulgar language used by English speakers. I've heard people swearing during any occasion: whether they are angry, calm, amused or happy and more. It was so casual it almost looked like a very "natural" part of the language without which it would loose its identity. I hear this in films, in single player games, online matches, videos, etc. all the time and it seems to be the norm.
This kind of cultural "gap" gave me a few funny moments when I first started playing online with other people. When I was called names I genuinely asked my offenders what that meant since I honestly had no idea.
I'm not here to judge the way people speak, but I'm just curious, has it already become a very important part of English-based culture? Do you use this kind of language on daily basis, do you find it acceptable? Do you feel the need to use exactly these words to express yourself? Are there any circumstances under which you would never use swearing?

Swearing is pretty much a part of our culture now, it's not uncommon for people to swear whenever they want to express emotion in the English culture be it sad, happy, pissed, surprised, it's just a big part of us.

Internet is a different thing, generally out in public unless you're with your pals you tone it down a bit. At least not the impression I'm getting from you like a curse word in every sentence.

Yea its everywhere in English now, cant really play a game without hearing cuss words in it. But when it comes to irl, I do swear alot if I am with friends or pissed off. Say I am in front of a friend's parents I try to be respectful (To some extent, I got a few friends i've known since I was like 1, and his dad is like myn and dosnt give a fuck). But yea, it is part of English atm.
