In order for us to travel at the speed of light, we will need a tremendous amount of energy. The amount of energy that powers the lights and electronics in the world is not even enough. It gets even more complicated when we talk about the specifics. For example, if we are at 90% the speed of light but we want to go up a notch to 91%, that, in itself, is a great amount of energy. If we keep going and try to go from 93% to 94% the speed of light, that's even more energy. We need a lot of energy. We need energy equivalent to infinity. The possibility of time travel is definitely not overruled. Theoretically, it is possible, and if we had an infinite abundance of energy, powerful materials that prevent vehicles in space from crashing and burning at high speeds, and if we solve all the other problems related to time travel, then of course, it can happen. In essence, the future holds all of the answers.
