Where to look for net exploits

After i download the servers files with scripthook, i get a folder with addons and such. I am familiar with lua, and have a decent understanding of the basics. I've come to understand that looking in client side files are the way to go. I've looked at the net library and to my understanding it looks like you are taking a function and satisfying its parameters with net.writeint, or whatever it needs. I obviously could be wrong, and i do not claim to be an expert like some of the members here... i am just curious of where i should look. Addons? Modules? im not sure. I appreciate all help. Please do no flame me for making this post. I may not be as competent as the other lua devs out there, but i am trying to learn.
