How do people pause on the 2nd boss of the shatters?

I see people doing it all the time. I know one way to do it is to pause in a safe area then teleport/move forward, but it doesn't seem to carry you that far.

1) make sure it's safe to pause
2) disconnect your internet
3) type /pause
4) walk into boss room while disconnected from Internet ASAP
5) reconnect your internet
6) you are now paused inside the twilight archmage. Also works for first boss
7) ????
8) PROFIT!!!

I dont think it's about covering his name, just showing when he's connected/disconnected and it looks kinda neat in that place
