CODE 1 update error

I download for a bit, then it stops and says rockstar services unavailable code 1 etc. I retry/restart and a few minutes later it stops again. Its been a good hour and I'm still trying to update. It gets to 90% and then stops AGAIN. I hit retry and I'm now downloading from 0%. Right now it says "server lost, reconnecting"

I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The "update" seems to be downloading without issue but damn is it slow....

The installer failed at 90% again and restarted from scratch.... again. Can someone throw me a bone here? Is there a way to manually download and install the files without an exe?

I've downloaded the exe from rockstar and installed it replacing GTAV launcher.exe. Overwriting, deleted, and replaced. Still fails to complete. Also tried uniextracting the files directly from the update .exe which dropped out 2 .bin files. Not sure there they go nor how to proceed. One is "script.bin" and the other is "files.bin"
