As far as "House" is concerned, that's pretty true as well. Most patients will lie about how they god X injury or what they were doing because of social pressure.

In a society where the norm or what's seen as good is nearly in-achievable for the average person, lying is pretty much a daily basis thing. I read this mental floos article about how like 60% of people can't go 10 minutes without lying. It's human nature.

Yeah, it's common sense that everyone lies. It's human nature there will always be some times that you lie, even if you try to be "perfect" and avoid it.
