    I have sleep paralysis and insomnia so I know what you are going through. What I do is I drink a cup of tea with honey in it and listen to the blues and usually that helps me sleep.

    I've had the same problem for as long as I remember. I'll go to bed, but then I'll lay there for another 2-3 hours before I actually fall asleep. Just last week I had a night where i couldnt fall asleep till 6 in the morning. Prayers :')


    So I just bought some sleeping pills and have been using those. Placebo or not, they've worked thus far lol..

    Ugh that sucks,
    But I've always had this edgy feeling about sleeping pills.
    I feel like if I take them Ill fall asleep and not be able to wake up and be late for school/work Lol.

    But it may have had something to do with the fact that I put sugar and not honey.

    Basically if you're not tired, get up do something until you feel tired. Then try to sleep. Usually your body functions on sleep so it should signal you when you need to sleep. Anyways, play some games, watch some movies.
    Is your sleep schedule fucked up? Do you go to school?

    It might be normal tho, take a nice hot shower before going to bed and drink some chamomile tea
    Also avoid lights inside your room while you sleep and make sure that you sleep in a comfortable bed. Additionally doing exercises about 3-4 hours before going to bed is a good thing.

    Thanks for sharing that, it seems like in the article though it only talks about prescription sleeping pills. You think melatonin and valerian root are harmful?

    Don't know about Melatonin or Valerian root, you should gather some information on that as-well.

    I've never tried a prescription pills or any of those above, had an idea since I had so much issues with sleeping but as of now (couple of days) I've been extremely sleepy at 8-9PM

    I have a good sleeping schedule (except the weekends),
    I go to the gym 4 times a week (evening)
    I go to MMA 4 times a week

    and No It does help to watch a movie (at least for me)

    Its not that I'm not tired its just I can't fall asleep no matter how tired I am

    I go to the gym Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
    +
    I go to MMA 4-5 days a week So I do plenty of exercise

    I have a good bed.
    but tea only seems to make it worse (unless there is sugar/honey in it)

    Try listening to Eden (The Eden Project), Crywolf, Mrsuicidesheep ambient mixes among others before you go to sleep, it used to help me a lot.
