There are many misconceptions regarding the length of Amazon's fraud department and actions they actually take, let alone a carrier investigation (the situation in this case) vs an account investigation. Worst case scenario OP is denied the refund because UPS insists they delivered the package to the house (assuming the SEer used the piece of shit "didn't arrive" method let alone with poor execution on his convincing part). No police is going to be visiting your house or arresting you. I can also get the investigation cancelled for you if you're interested, but I'd definitely ask your SE'er about it right now.
