Definitely Razer Tiamat if you have the budget. I'm using Armaggeddon Fuze 7. Gets the job done and cheap.

I always strongly advocate separate mics and headphones.

Also 'Surround Sound' is a loaded marketing term that doesn't actually mean anything, or make any difference. Turtle Beach started it with their shitty headphone demos they set up everywhere, which are more a testament to the source audio than the actual headphones; ie any headphone that isn't utter garbage can accurately use positional audio.

I am the seer in the dark,
    the vagabond of yore,
    valediction.
I am the sum of all your parts,
    and proprietor of all.
    A miasma,
    the conclusion,
    blackmonger of Inlé,
    valediction.
    Synapses fray,
    my form now vivid,
as torpor sets and blood grows tepid.
With every ounce of flesh now offered,
I hold your corpse within my coffers.
    Knitted cells now split asunder,
    stand alongside me brother.
Take your place amongst my Owsla,
we march at dawn now and forever.

"Gaming headset" is a market technique to sell combined crap for 1000% of their real price using an overvaluated company name. I'd recommend to not buy any of the "gaming" headsets and get yourself some good headphones. Aaand

    Steelseries Siberia 650.
Some say it's overpriced, but I've had alot of headsets around the same price as the 650's. And I found them the most comfortable.
