Any tips for putting on eye contacts?

Decided to go to the eye doctor because I needed new glasses since my family has a history of bad eye sight. While there decided to check out getting eye contacts because I want to wait atleast 4 years before I go get lasik eye surgery. I spent 2 hours at the place trying to put one goddam eye contact in but kept failing I got so triggered I just told them to reschedule me for another time.

I just want tip from any of you who wear eye contacts on how you put it in or what was it like your first time as this is my first time trying out eye contacts.

It takes time you get used to it, took me like 2 hours the first time, over time you will be able to put them on easily. Make sure your contact has enough formula and from experience when you start it is easier to put them on if you also put formula on your eye before trying to put it on.

OP I'm all for helping people in certain cases but come the fuck on. You literally just put whatever liquid they give you on it and then plop that shit on. If that's not enough advice, there are multiple videos out there to help you.

    True experience.
Had bad eye sight because of my family's history and whatnot. I was wearing glasses and hated so contacts here I came. Here are some tips.

1-Make sure your hands are clean

2-Make sure the contact and the tip of your finger, the one you use to insert the contact are a bit moist using your solution/formula.

3-Make sure the rest of your fingers are dry and around your eyes also. For instance your eyelids, under them, etc.

4-When it's time to put the contact in, make sure you open your eye wide enough using your fingers, they should have showed you if not ask.

5-Always have an object under you to catch the contact if it falls.

    6-Be soft. They rip easily.

If you need more tips like storage and stuff I'm here.

The best piece of advice i can give you is to totally relax and don't blink, that's where ppl fuck up at 1st they are naturally reacting to their eye being poked. Don't be afraid to touch your eye with your finger when the contact is on it.

Here's something that will really help, the hand that's holding the contact, rest the triceps/bicep part of that arm against your chest. It will make your forearm waaay steadier and so much easier to guide in.

Here's how i do it, tilt head up slightly, Pull bottom eyelid down with middle finger of one hand, look at index finger of other hand with contact as it goes in (yes i watch contact go right in) and just relax the whole time, after it's touching my eye i just let go of my eyelid, then close my eye as i disengage my index finger.

Only other tip i can give is i kind of have the contact like a tilted bowl on my finger tip until it touches my eye, then i just rotate the finger/hand so it fits onto my eye, i guess that might help too, try not to move your head and just work with the hand and arm.

I tried the contact thing for a year then my eyeball got infected and had to go to the emergency room to get it fixed and couldn't open that eye for 1 week, so ive stuck to glassed and hopefully one day ill do the laser surgery to get them done permanently

Laser eye surgery is not that great of an idea as you think it is.

1-The cost vs. The other options

2-It isn't guaranteed to work as you hope it to.

    3-It doesn't last that long.

IMO Just stick with glasses, if you can't do contacts. Don't get the laser eye surgery.
