Getting an Android, should I jailbreak or nah?

Title says it all, I'm grabbing the new S7 Edge from Samsung's Galaxy line-up. Its an all-star player for sure.

Wondering if I should unlock it, if so, why, and what benefits do I get.
Also, what are some good apps for people like us?

no real need to root your phone, especially if you don't understand androids that well.

You don't need to Root an Android to be able to get free apps. There is apps than can be installed such as Aptoide which has alot of free paid apps available to download and install without root. If you root your Android, You can get a tool to allow inapp purchases for games that aren't server-sided. and you can record your screen. I don't really do all of this so I just stay with iPhone. Though I would like to switch over to Galaxy

I've gotta say I swear by android, I rooted my old note 2 back when it first came out.

Can say that I seen little benefit to doing so! So haven't done it since. Risk of doing it can brick the phone/device and reward for doing so isn't worth the risk.

    Like how Hova said.

Jailbreak if you have an iPhone (basically get free apps and hack on games)

Root (if you want free in-app purchase, but there are some non-root methods to get free stuff and free in-app purchases.

There's not much you can get out of rooting, if you want free apps look around the internet for some apks.

For me the root is essential.. it make you the real owner of your phone and allow you to use it limitless.

@devinm0804 I'm going to buy a galaxy s7 edge in these days, but if you are american i've a bad news for you... from what i've heard the s7 and s7 edge equipped with snapdragon 820 ( U.S version) are bootloader locked.. so i think there will be not much modding.

Only root if you want access to more commands in terminal.

Otherwise, pretty useless. Free apps -> download apk from sites and install in device.
