I think most advice has been given already on what you should do now. Drunk parents is a complex situation. Parents have a hard time listening to their children when it comes to advice that they are supposed to give to you. I don't really have issues with my family but I know that when I give my dad advice(doesnt matter what) he tends to ignore it because parent, especially dads, have a feeling they have thaught you all in life they know. So giving them advice feels unnatural and something they won't accept quickly. In the end, no matter how hard it is you will have to think about yourself and possibly your mother. Don't let others ruin your life because of their misery. This sounds very harsh but sometimes life seems to be harsh. So if his troubles and issues are holding you back from your future, then it's time to consider moving out or moving him out. I wish you all the best and good luck.
One last thing: You can only help others when you don't need anymore help yourself. If you are independant, happy and satisfied with your life, only then you are able to help others out of their misery.
Tell him how you feel...
Tell him that as a family, alcohol isn't bringing you guys together
Say "in my greatest opinion, I think getting rid of alcohol will be the best for US"
My dad used to go to parties, and he took 1 shoot and got immediately drunk
He would come back in his motorcycle, sometimes falls off it (only at the driveway
It isn't going to be easy "one step at a time, I don't expect you to instantly stop" we all know an alcoholic will stay one, that isn't particularly true...
You can change this... @Russell
Whenever you speak of life, take the shit seriously..

Your picture looks like you'll kill someone even if they weren't drinking
Since mine does the same thing and appears to be that they don't give a fuck even if both of the family parties want a chance, I don't understand why aren't they chancing to keep their family together or for themselves?
