    Doesn't this mean that forgiving will hurt others? Is it still the good thing to do if it hurts others?
    Forgiving in this way, is meant for revenge, yes.
    But, I couldn't think of a way, any way, when you ''hurt'' someone by forgiving him or her.
    If someone stabs you, because you've had arguements for months 'n months, and you still forgive him. Does it hurt him? Nope. You'll just make him feel worse.
    He hopes that you will continue with the arguements, he'll hope that you'll do bad things in return for what he did. But what do you do? You forgave him!

    Think about it, in a teacher's way.
    My teacher is a total pain in the ass, and he hates me(he said that once to me, I rofl'ed IRL).
    We had lots and lots of arguements, and the last arguement, I opened and closed the conversation with ''My apologies for what I did. And I forgive you for what you've done''.
    He didn't said a word, and he was(and still is!) grumpy.
    That conversation, took place 2 months ago.

    Well is there any good reason to believe that karma and reincarnation are valid?

    Nope, it isn't. It's what you believe in that counts.
    Hereby I quote Bertrand Russels Chinese Teapot;
    If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. But if I were to go on to say that, since my assertion cannot be disproved, it is an intolerable presumption on the part of human reason to doubt it, I should rightly be thought to be talking nonsense. If, however, the existence of such a teapot were affirmed in ancient books, taught as the sacred truth every Sunday, and instilled into the minds of children at school, hesitation to believe in its existence would become a mark of eccentricity and entitle the doubter to the attentions of the psychiatrist in an enlightened age or of the Inquisitor in an earlier time.
    In small words;
    If I say to you, that there was somewhere in space, flying a chinese teapot. Would you believe me?
    I think at least 99.99% would say no.
    But why do you say no? You can't prove me, that there is no teapot, yet, you can't prove there is.
    That's Russel Brant's Chinese Teapot theory.

    I shall now apply this theory, to Karma and Re´ncarnation.
    I believe, that there exists such a thing as Karma, and Re´ncarnation.
    Maybe not 100% exactly as how it is stated to be, but in big lines, yes, it is.
    You can't prove that it exists, yet, you can't prove me that it doesn't.
    It's what I believe, and that's the thing for me that counts.

    People need something to believe in, to get a grip on their life.
    I believe that Karma and Re´ncarnation have a grip on my life, and on my other lives.

    Isn't making someone feel worse the same as hurting this person?

    I'm going to try that too, for sure I'll probably be removed from class, but it'll be worth it

    If I had to be Buddhist I'd have to kill myself through all my reincarnations that stuff is depressing.

    Nope, it isn't. That would be just people who are a little tainted in the mind or something like that. As far as I'm concerned, nope.

    Hmm, in big lines, it isn't.
    Let me teach you all a big lessons, or something like that.
    We Buddhists, may never, EVER intentionally hurt a person.
    INtentionally.
    If he asks for it, and if we hurt him mentally by forgiving him, it isn't intentionally, it is unintentionally.
    We can't know, if we hurt him mentally, by forgiving him. Can we?

    You will be re´ncarnated as another person, without you knowing everything of (one of your) previous life(Plural: lives). But, unintentionally, you will be doing better, than you ever did before .

    I'm familiar with Bertrand Russell and Russell's Teapot, the very fact that you bring Russell's teapot into this makes me think you have no idea what the purpose of Russell's Teapot is. The point is that one can believe what they wish, but the burden of proof is on the believer, not the skeptic. Me not being able to prove that karma doesn't exist doesn't validate your claim. Now please tell me why you think karma and reincarnation are valid.
