Because there is a possiblity we will be getting a private server hosted by either me, dave, or someone else of the MMORPG/FPS Face of Mankind.
It seems fitting to fill you in on the game.
Ok, basically. Imagine 8 Factions, each with different aims, goals and such.
Guardians of Mankind: The peacekeeping force of the game, to be honest, useless, pointless faction unless of course your a hippy...
Mercieneries of the Blood: Rouge military who'll do anything for their next paycheck, assasinations, bodguarding, you name it, for a price, of course.
Brotherhood of the Shadows: this games' criminal faction, drug trafficing, syndicates, the real criminals.
Law Enforcement Department: the thin blue line of the law, they can arrest people with the ' I ' button when they are stunned, putting them away for some time.
Freedom Defence Corps: 1, 2, 3, 4, FoM-Marine corps! a.k.a. the military lol.
a faceless corporation with only one goal: PROFIT.
Colonization and Mining Guild:
The first colonists to colonize mankinds farthest reaching colony's, used to be governemnt owned but now has turned into a private corporation.
Vortex Inc. : The company that has produced such ground-breaking technologies as Vortex gates, Orbit-energy weapons. also a greedy corporation!
K, you've picked your faction, designed your avatar, and your in the game, now what?
Ok 2 Main gameplay elements:
FPS - You can just whip out a firearm and start blasting (and killing) anyone you see! of course LED deploy these anti-firearm turrets and have laws against this, but essientally this game has elements of FPS.
RP - Roleplaying, a key selling point is a rank-based player-controlled game... each faction has ranks 1-7.
Rank 7 - Faction Leader
The leader of their faction, whether its the Vortex Inc. CEO or the Law enforcement Departments' Commissioner they are the highest and the unquestioned leader.
Rank 6 - Faction High Command
from the Freedom defence corps Commodore's to the EuroCore senior managment these are the main descion making group. usually their are four "HC (high command" so they can vote on important things.
Rank 5 - Faction Officer The link usually between high command and the rank and file of the faction, the "co-ordinaters" and such also they usually are more commonly out in the field leading their faction.
Rank 4 - Faction Juniour Officer Most likely the most common "officer" in the field, these guys are numerous, skilled and the main leadership roles out in the field.
Rank 3 - Faction Seniors The rank2's who are more skilled in the game and usually arel earning how to move up to a more leader-ship role.
Rank 2 - Faction Members The rank and file of the faction, numerous and everywhere. loL
Rank 1 - Faction n00bs People who are newbz to their faction, not many people stay rank 1 for more than a week.
Face of Mankind works in a "Rank 5 can promote anyone below them to rank 4, Rank 6 can promote anyone below them to rank 5" and such and such, only rank5+ can promote. and the the maxiumum of one rank below them.
This game can be lots of fun when played right, the main problem/fuck-up the developers made was:
They chose some real dick-head ass-lickers to be the leaders, promoting a culture of "Oh SIR you own (kk promote me k?)" which suxxed.
but with the (hopefull) MPGH-FACE OF MANKIND we will erase these mistakes and hopefully alll have a g00d time
P.s. the client is actually available free from their site so... no need 2 warez the client
BUT TBH if i can get the files i'll be modifying GoM to somthing cooler n shit we'll prob have like a vote

Martial Law – In strict dictionary terms, martial law is the suspension of civil authority and the imposition of military authority. When we say a city, colony or world is "under martial law," we mean to say that the military is in control of the area, that it acts as the police, as the courts, as the legislature.
The degree of control might vary - a nation may have a civilian legislature but have the courts administered by the military. Or the legislature and courts may operate under civilian control with a military ruler. In each case, martial law is in effect, even if it is not openly called "martial law."
One individual (Field Marshall or designated Rep) is usually selected and given authority to act as the overseer with sweeping powers over city, colony or world. In war torn worlds many civilians may welcome the new emergency law as a means to combat the enemy insurgence and curb local crime. But the dark side to this total power is that it grants one individual too much power. The individual executing martial law is at the same time supreme legislator, supreme judge, and supreme executive. As necessity makes his will the law, he only can define and declare it; and whether or not it is infringed, and of the extent of the infraction, he alone can judge; and his sole order punishes or acquits the alleged offender.
Usually martial law will enable the individual to close off entire cities, countries, and worlds and impose curfews, restrict communications, and limit travel in and out of the countries or on and off worlds. Once signed or voted in by the leaders of the world or by an occupying military the individual in charge will have the power to declare martial law for a set period of time, either in specific areas or planet wide. To impose martial law in a specific area approval is needed from the colonial Senator. For it to be declared worldwide would require the approval from the President or the current Chair of the security and Intelligence committee, acting secretary of defense.
The power to rescind the law would also be upon approval by the same process.
If martial law is declared, usually according to pre-established doctrine the individual would have the power to:
* Take command over all police, intelligence, military, and other security forces.
* Create special courts for people accused of major crimes – anything from murder, rape, and kidnapping to destroying government property.
* Appoint civilian or military administrators in areas under martial rule.
* Release any defendant from custody, if deemed necessary for reasons of security.
Martial Law will only be used "in case of a grave threat to a colonies internal or external security or in case of an armed action that threatens the government’s (Earth and moonbases) stability."
When lawlessness of kidnappings, assassinations, and robbery are routine many civilians become hungry for strict law and order. On the other hand the martial law could become a permanent state that allows rulers to bypass the constitutional order completely.
Faction Three of Eight. - Mercienaries of the Blood.
Rank 7 - Leader
Rank 6 - Contractor
Rank 5 - Freelancer
Rank 4 - Veteran
Rank 3 - Specialist
Rank 2 - Marksman
Rank 1 - Gunman
The Mercenaries of the Blood is neither criminal nor political in their own view, although many beg to differ. They have been known to work for the highest bidder, but any alliances are always temporary and only as long as they get their cut. They have even been known to accept contracts by corrupt FDC and LED. If one were to look close enough into the MOTB contracts they might see the odd contract from someone in the Global Dominion trying to get a point across to their counter part in the Colonial Senate.
The Merc interrupt the law to suit their needs, in most cases there is no law. Its members are essentially vigilantes who reject all government. The clan is composed of violent minded people willing to go all the way to disrupt peace for a price. They believe that all human government is inherently corrupt and oppressive.
Due to the fact Merc’s tend to have different ideas of how the Faction should run, what they should believe, and what they support, the cells were a necessary addition to give each member the right to choose which path they would follow down the Merc road, they work in their groups or individually depending on the task at hand. Some cells grow strong bonds and will fight to the death for their cell-mates, while the solo mercs become more and more detached and loners but in the end if the call is made to all mercs to fight for one cause, all will come.
Through the years the Mercenaries have adapted their clans to follow the trail of money. With the recent introduction of the Colonial Senate more and more mercs are seeking the way of gathering information for a price instead of guns for hire.
Faction Three of Eight. - Mercienaries of the Blood.
Rank 7 - Harbinger
Rank 6 - Master
Rank 5 - Adept
Rank 4 - Initiate
Rank 3 - Rebel
Rank 2 - Anarchist
Rank 1 - Vandal
The Brotherhood believes “Might Makes Right”. The Brotherhood is a business, like any other. Instead of being corporate thieves or thugs in uniform, they work for the family and themselves. Their business is providing the good citizens of the Dominion with the things that they want, but can’t have because of restrictive laws and a controlling society. Living in the Dominion has become stale and empty. There are so many rules and a restriction that life is almost not worth living. That’s why the Brotherhood fights, to provide the things that human beings have always wanted, freedom.
They do their job from the shadows, striking down their enemies with a knife from the dark, and disappearing back into the night. Some citizens seek them out for the drugs they sell, the woman they introduce them to while Corporate Executes avoid the shadows at all cost afraid to be caught in a web of lies, deceit and drug addiction.
Terrorists are not a word they use, nor how they are described. They don’t kill innocents, or bully the peaceful; protesting is a waste of time to them unless drugs are slipped into the hands of paying customers. Instead they send a message to all, that they will not be owned, nor will they conform to the wishes of the corrupt government, and the corps. The illegal activities are their way of life and what they are fighting to protect. Extortion, carefully placed lies for credits and the ability to threaten individuals from one extreme to the next is just a way to conduct business for the Brotherhood. The underground is their home, and the shadows used to hide what they truly believe in. Citizens can work with them, or against us, but make it clear that the cost is less if they are with them.
