Just because it has back lighting and fancy hand rests does not make it a good gaming keyborad/mouse. The Steelseries Shift or 7G keyboards are some of the best ones.

The only thing I see better on that one than a normal keyboard is anti-ghosting and metal plated keys. Anti-ghosting is incredibly common for keyboards everywhere now and days. I bet that it uses a standard rubber-dome style key set, and doesnt even come with PS/2 cables. Macro keys are usless unless you play mmorpg's, and you can redefine function keys to binds in most any game.

Flashy looks != performance. Thats why I still prefer steelseries over most other things because they focus less on what the thing looks like sitting on your desk, and more about the actual performance.

It has an adjustable wrist rest and keyboard rake angle, the most commonly used keys in a game (WASD + Space) are metal plated, therefor, less injuries while gaming ( I can know it, I've had an RSI wrist) what do you need more?

Look at their mice, they're 110% designed for gamers

Their mice looked like they got stepped on by a robot. And if you are too lazy to use the stands built into the keybaord, or put a towel or something under your wrist, then you have no real reason to complain.

The keys are metal plated to get you to buy them. Because keys dont wear down, their rubber switches do. they in no way prevent injury at all. Anything like carpel tunnel is caused by bad positioning. Raise your chair or move your keyboard to stop it.

I'm sorry, keys don't wear down?
On my old keyboard the W and A broke in half.

And for the mice, they might look like a robot, but you can adjust the weight, you can adjust the pinkie rest, you can adjust your thumb rest, your palm rest, anything. If you feel your hand will hurt in some time, you can adjust it and voila, it's gone.

Then stop smacking the keys so hard. Or stop using walmart keyboards. The keys are made of a hard enough plastic that it would take a fair beating to break.

And as for teh mouse, gimmick, gimmick, and gimmick. Adjusting the size of a mouse on the fly is not something people are concerned with when playing games. If anything, it will add to the weight of the mouse, and nothing more. Most gaming mice are big enough to be comfortable on no matter what grip you have. The fact that they charge you $160 for an 'adjustable' mouse is absurd considering I got mine for $60 and it has a perfectly high CPI, with profile settings, and mouse 4 and 5 buttons on both sides.

I could be a button basher, but does that really have to matter?

For the mouse, it would help a lot if you could even adjust the weight of the mouse itself when you're gaming. Not for any injuries you could possibly get, no, how lighter a mouse is, how better I can perform.

As for the DPI, I don't think your mouse can beat the R.A.T 9, 5600 DPI.
