# Thread: If you divide by zero, is it undefined or infinity.

1. ## If you divide by zero, is it undefined or infinity.

State your nerdy arguments here. I say it's niether, it's more like breaking the fundemental laws of algebra

1/0 = x
so in theory,
1 = 0x
1 = 0
Not possible. So division of zero is not undefined nor is it infinity because it breaks the laws of mathematics :O

2. ITS FUCKING MAGIC :O

3. No its undefined in my mind

just like how 1 divided by 0 looks like

8. You probably didn't finish the problem.

9. You trying to explode the feeble minds of most teenagers?

10. Devide by zero and serious stuff happens.
Don't

What if you divide by zero though?

12. I got 1 more math class to go til i graduate
isn't 0x itself not a valid variable, so you're breaking the law more than once Jetamay
am i rite? i think im wrong

Nothing, one of the scariest things exist.

You can multiply by zero, but you can't divide by it

5x = 5x
5x -5x = 0
0x = 0
0=0
