    i never said that,
i said a birthdifect, small morph, leads on to another species, then repeats,
leading to a completely different species.

    Think of this:

The changes are gradual and come about by organisms reacting to their environment or each other. It's not completely different species, and not for no reason.

Then why is there no solid evidence of this happening? In not just humans but all the species on the planet? Creatures can adapt to their surroundings but thats about it. The idea of something morphing into something completely different is still absurd. These 'birth defects' your talking about would take a very long time to morph into a whole new species, and by that time, the original species would be gone.

-.- Still missing my point. Im saying the idea of evolution (the one that says humans are monkeys) is stupid. What your giving an example of is what I am saying. Over 2 billion years, humans have changed a bit. And not a whole lot mind you.

Humans have changed just a bit over 2 billion years? 2 Ba is about the time of the development of eukaryotes. So a bit more than a bit.

Evolution is the process of emergent mutations in a species, where the organism, through breeding and natural selection, either passes it's traits on or dies off. If the traits are useful for the survival/continuity of a species, they are kept and assimilated into the population over generations rooting out members lacking the mutation.

It all comes down to whether the mutation is useful or not. And if it's useful enough for the organism to gain an upper hand over other organisms in the same species so the trait can be passed on. Making the new organism's off springs more successful then then the members lacking the mutation.

That said, while mutation is effective, it is crudely inefficient.
