    Apple has determined that, in very rare cases, the battery in the iPod nano (1st generation) may overheat and pose a safety risk. Affected iPod nanos were sold between September 2005 and December 2006.

    They people who used them probably is dead..... They take a care only in 2011 , but the iPod's was sold in 2005...

    Obviously this issue has been uncovered fairly recently.

    recall was issued 11-11-11. i have this very ipod. battery problems just like it says. getting new one /
