How to find out your latency (globally)!

    //WRONG SECTION \\
    \\PLEASE MOVE//

This is just a short guide on how to find out your latency to different server (Worldwide).

    1. What you need:

-The IP Address of the server you want to ping to
    -Windows CMD Prompt

    2. How to find the address of a server:

Go to a website that is based in the region you want to ping for example
    Code:
    https://www.google.com/

Copy the URL of the website.
Go to selfseo.com and enter the URL of the website into the field.
Press "Get IP" and above the field should appear the result.
    In the case of
    Code:
    https://www.google.com/

    This appears for me:
    Code:
The IP address of www.google.com is 74.125.79.147
That is the IP of the google server.

    3. How to ping the server:

Click the Windows Button on your task bar and type "Run" in the search field (Win Vista/Win 7) or click on "Run" (Win XP).
Now a small window named "Run" should open with a text field and three buttons.
Type cmd into the text field and press "OK".
Now a new windows comand shell named "Administrator: C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe" should be opened.
In the command shell you first type ping and then IP of the server you want to ping.

    In my example with
    Code:
    https://www.google.com/
    I have to type
    Code:
    ping 74.125.79.147

    Press Enter.

Now it starts the ping test.
After a short while you get your output which should look like this
    Code:
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Users\YourUserNameHere>ping 74.125.79.147

Ping is started for 74.125.79.147 with 32 Bytes Data:
    Answer from 74.125.79.147: Bytes=32 Time=26ms TTL=50
    Answer from 74.125.79.147: Bytes=32 Time=27ms TTL=50
    Answer from 74.125.79.147: Bytes=32 Time=26ms TTL=50
    Answer from 74.125.79.147: Bytes=32 Time=27ms TTL=50

    Ping-Statistics for 74.125.79.147:
        Packages: Sent = 4, Recieved = 4, Lost = 0
        (0% Lost),
    Time in milliseconds:
        Minimum = 26ms, Maximum = 27ms, Average = 26ms

The highlighted stuff is the important stuff because that is your latency to the server you pinged.
In this case my latency to the google server is 26ms.

Pretty simple if you done it once or twice =D
But for many people it is not that easy and I hope that this will help you.

    Thanks,
    Garen
