    You usually don't train the same muscles more than once every session... and no matter how destroyed his other muscles were, he should still be able to do more than 20 pushups.

    As long as you at least try to stay healthy it's fine. But you aren't trying just because you are working. You might have bad metabolism, but that's life. Then you gotta work harder to stay healthy. Life is unfair...

    I really believe I'm talking good care of my body, but as you said poor metabolism... It's really anoying, The gym did nothing.

    Meh when it comes to lifting I like to help people, now if he said he only did five...

    But yeah I know where your coming from, tbh his coach shouldn't of made him do those last twenty considering all it will do is burn the muscle or cause possible future damage from the extra stress, unless his coach has him doing toning based workouts, that won't help for jack shit.

    Multivitamin + omega 3 + protein supp + creatine mono + heavy weight low rep many sets = muscle. Higher muscle % = higher metabolic rate. Young age = higher anabolic rate & increased anabolic window. I work 39 hours and still get my lifting in, so can you, fatty

    It depends, if it really does hurt a lot and your muscles are filled with lactic acid it damages your muscles.

    TBH I think he's just whining. If you aren't used to muscle training it just does hurt a lot, and that is fine. It's supposed to hurt and I bet he can't force himself enough, if he aren't used to training, to actually hurt his muscles.

    @Nachos (fuckin iPod wouldn't let me quote this time) True, that's why I like my Pre-booster, it drastically reduces lactic build up. If that's the case though he can always have someone use a rolling pin on his arms and legs, it spreads the lactic acid in the muscles so it can dissolve quicker and get him back into the regiment. My regiment consists of a 130 curl (20 sets of 5 reps with five min breaks), same with bench, and m100s (thanks @Dave84311) to keep the excess fat to a minimum. I don't get as much muscle but I get to keep definition. Never maxed out on this reg either, but the one in going to put Cos on is going to kick his ass

    Definition was never a problem for me because I always had a low body fat. I think my body fat is at 13% right now.
