So when MSN finally shuts down next month, i don't want to be forced to use Skype.
I just simply don't like it, the UI isn't as clean as messenger and the whole point that people can see my IP using resolvers just annoys me.
I want to avoid using skype in any way possible, is there any other messenger client that people will be moving to after MSN shuts down?
I like to keep my privacy on the internet thanks, using skype without a vpn/proxy means that others can see my IP.
Do you really think that's acceptable for a messaging client that you'll be using almost every day? No.
Also the skype name in my sig has a hidden ip and i never really go on :P
Skype is cancer and compares in no way to what MSN does. The only similarity is that they can both send text messages. Skype focuses too much on video calls and neglects the part of its userbase that just wants to chat with friends using text. I'm going to miss so many things from msn.
It used to be when everyone had MSN Plus a few years back.
I guess no program is perfect, but now that msn is shutting down and most users are going to skype - don't you think an extra level of privacy is needed? It's 2013 and privacy on the internet is more important than ever.
