Decades away from practical use. Right now nano technology is still mostly theoretical.

Its going to be pretty awesome at first, but of course in no time it would be used for combat and violence.

You do know what Nanotechnology is right?
Anything is consider nanotechnology as long as it manipulated at atomic and molecular scale, most people thing it has to all do with microchips..

Well what would you rather have? Advanced technology and not be able to defend your self?
Even if it was not used in war people would be jealous and try to take it from you by force and use it for their wars.

This is completely irrelevant to what I stated unless you elaborate. Are you implying that nanotechnology is commonplace? If that's the case, then you're completely wrong. We've only started delving into the realm of nanotechnology, but most of it is still on the drawing board. The farthest we've come is the creation of nano-materials, such as carbon nanotubes, buckyballs, and graphene. We haven't even accomplished mass production of these materials.

Its true that it is not common, but is being more then used for theoretical reason, since it is already being used in a practical application.
As long as you a manipulating at atomic and molecular scale its still consider nanotechnology and there fore is no longer theoretical.
Just cause something isn't common does not mean that it can't be used for practical use.

Also to clear up a little more its already being used in Sun Screen, food packaging, stain-resistant textiles, fuel catalyst, the list goes on...

Nanotechnology is amazing. I believe it's going to change how people live in a great amount. Japan probably has a lot more information and tested/working nanotechnology than we do, that we don't even know about. Well I believe that in Tokyo, Japan they are holding an Nano-Tech exhibit and conference with a bunch of technology and stuff on January 27th- 31st of 2014, according to this website: For Exhibitors ? nano tech 2014 International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference :P

I never said that it isn't practical because it isn't common, that's an unreasonable correlation. And actually, nanotechnology is fairly common, if you employ the word in a literal sense. Here's a website dedicated to listing nanotech. However, I should've elaborated and went on to say that advanced nanotechnolgy involving complex machinery is likely to be a long way off from realization.
