    Well from my personal experience, I wouldn't have the energy drink, you can try glucose tablets but those are pretty expensive. Gatorade is fine as long as you consume water with it, It provides electrolytes as well as a bit of an energy kick(Sugar). I don't think creatine is necessary because it's for more gym work and secondly stores more water in your muscles, in turn increases size.

    If you're looking for an alternative I would Eat pasta or something high in carbs the night before, that will usually provide a good stable source of energy to keep you going for a short time.

    You can also work on training your ATP levels and recovery rate.

    Gatorade is good because it has electrolytes and sugars, but its not the best for hydrating. Always have water to drink. Havent tried the Perform or Recover Gatorades though, So I couldnt tell you

    I used to use this stuff, call Gu energy. Its a little packet of gel, 100 calories but its got a ton of good stuff for you. Take one before you run, and like every hour or something. Only problem is it tastes like Poseidon's salty ballsack and feels like a surly man just blew a load down your throat

    @Vice-Versa You will build better sprinting endurance involving HIIT rather than a five minute sprint.     Get a preworkout nitric oxide supplement. It will provide fast acting energy for you to use during your workout and will allow you to increase your workout time.

    the only thing you will need is oxygen.

    You only need water. That's it.

    Caffeinated drinks are a big no no. It would ruin your sleep. Some sports drinks contain a good amount of salt. Some contain some sugar. If it contains a good amount of salt, you should drink water as it dilutes the salt from your body. Correct me if I'm wrong about this, I haven't researched. Also if you drink something that has a lot of sugar you should take it easy. A single coke has about 40g of sugar, not exactly sure. I've heard that's more than what you should have in a day. So... Drink gatorade in moderation if it does contain sugar...

    Not lookin for long time results, just looking on getting max laps in 5 minutes (school test).

    Oh yea, Coconut water is good and healthy alternative to the sporty drinks. It has fewer calories, less sodium and tons of potassium.
