    It depends on the build. I have built my own before so let me give you some advice on the build.

    If you use PVC, fill up the PVC with fine grit sand. It will help alleviate excess vibrations and keep the PVC from generating its own frequencies. When putting the stands together, be sure to have either a triangle shape, or a square shape at the bottom, and to have small points that contact the floor. Do not put the entire base on the floor, drill and screw in small rubber feet on the bottom to keep the surface area of contact to a minimum. This helps to prevent floor vibrations, which can mess with the rooms acoustics.

    Use an extremely dense foam for where your monitors will make contact with the stands. Dense foam allows certain frequencies through but do a better job at keeping the monitor stable during the more bass heavy tracks. They also alleviate the high frequencies, which are fairly difficult to keep from diffusing the vibrations.

    So basically it looks like this:

    ===
    -----
    ||....||
    ||....||

    Where the periods are empty space.

    btw if you look up borders affiliated with art, the point of it is to help your eyes automatically focus on what's inside, so how's this going to work? You're eyes are deadass confused gj.

    Once you position yourself properly, you'll understand why it is the sweet spot.

    No problem. There are some great acoustic tutorials on home acoustic treatment on Gearslutz.

    I'm currently saving up for a renovation of my room. Needs to fix a massive crack in my wall then paint it a nice deep red, mount a shelf for a projector, hang up my posters, paint the opposing wall a nice neutral white for projection. Then going to get a nice sleek desk, have my current set up nice and tidy, sell off my Cosmos 2 and build a mini-itx machine then grab a nice audio setup. Thinking of going for a pair of KRK Rokit 5''s with a 10s sub, still unsure whether or not I'll need the sub or if I should go for Yamaha hs80m's. Then some minimal room treatment.

    NO, STAY AWAY FROM THE KRK'S. I can not stress this enough. Too many people give KRK great reviews with no backround in Audio. It's easier to just run with flatter monitors of the same price point than it is to train your ears on those travesties. Go with the ADAM Audio F5 or F7's, with the SubF. Balanced XLR to audio interface or 1/4 inch jack input, a little EQ so the sub holds the 120 to 30hz range, tune your F5's to pick up the slack on the 121 range with a drop off limiter EQ (or by voltage tuning) and you are golden. With the KRK's you're just going to get too much bass, shrill highs, and a lack of decent mid-range.

    Have you not tried spoofing the ID to get your self unbanned?
    You should be able to swap the ID from the broken one on to the new one.
