When you're aware you're dreaming within the dream, and have some control over the experience.

well that's normal and doesn't require an drugs right? Cus I do get those alot. However, some times I do get AMAZING dreams, literally. New people, new faces and amazing experiences. When I wake up, I don't remember any of it. So is this the thing you're talking about?

Hiya i am a very experienced lucid dreamer. My thoughts on this is that you should not use any supplements or drugs to help/make you lucid dream for 1 reason only - lucid dreaming is easy if you are dedicated so you will not need to waste money on becoming lucid in a dream. I have read some things on this thread about experiencing horrible dreams/nightmares whilst lucid dreaming. I can tell you for a fact that if you become lucid in a dream "the correct way" then you will be able to turn those horrible dreams (which start as nightmares) into an awesome dream, like i did my very first lucid dream 1 year ago . I have to admit that sometimes you may experience scary situations whilst "inducting lucid dreaming" through the form of sleep paralysis. But you can choice certain ways to become lucid, some involve sleep paralysis and some dont. For me the easiest way to lucid dream without sleep paralysis is to either use binaural beats or to use WBTB Method (Wake back to bed). For newbies to lucid dreaming the most important part is to RECORD EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR DREAMS, either in a dream journal or recording. This is mainly to improve dream recall. You also then need to go back threw your dreams to find any dream signs which also helps you become lucid in normal sleeps/dreams.

Back to the supplements for lucid dreaming as i stated above you should not use them because they are a waste of money. But i do recommend Yerba Mate which is tea. I will not explain what this is on this post but if you are interested google/utube it. It really does help.

I hope i answered some of your questions in this post. If you want to know more just tag me in post and il reply back to you with my answer, or PM.

You're fucking retarded, because I would be dead if I didn't use medicine to let things happen naturally. Melatonin isn't really proven to have major side effects in adults, as it only has a possibility of affecting adolescent development.

I feel like this is more or less true. I know people who can reliably lucid dream using their methods, but it requires lots of preparation.

I drank some coffee about 30 minutes before I took my 5mg of melatonin. After taking it, I started feeling it's effects around 40 minutes later. I slept for 13 hours, because melatonin makes me sleepy (which is intended.) Because of the nature of melatonin and caffeine, my first dream was probably 6 - 7 hours, and I probably hit REM sleep less, which meant less vivid dreams/lucid dreams. I can't remember my dreams from that first period. As the caffeine wore off, I was woken up by my cousin, asking if I wanted to chill out with him, to which I replied "fuck no" and went back to bed.

When I fell back asleep, I slept from 1-2 hours at a time for about 6 more hours. All dreams I had in this period I remember mostly, and all of them felt like they were 20 - 40 minutes in length (though I could very easily be wrong due to the fact that I probably wasn't in the best position to remember how long each dream lasted), and in all of them I was lucid dreaming and had some control over myself.

Honestly, it was a surreal experience that was so worth it. If I explained the dreams, they would make no sense. Some dreams involved my workplace, some involved me basically astral projecting, and some involved seeing my extended family (which makes sense since I'm at home for the holidays and they're all here as well.) Some dreams were beyond explanation and some were related to my life as it is now.

Probably for the best, as sleep feels short, and you get up sooner.

What the fuck does taking medicine when sick have to do with taking medicine to lucid dream ?

"Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you—even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers, and triumphs over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world. So none of this is happening. Such things could not occur. Never a word of it is literally true.”

Use I-Doser, it is a program and it can make you have a lucid dream. It works but it may be a bit frightening at first.
