Thoughts On Nuclear Fallout: Good or Bad?

I have always considered how life would be after a nuclear war had taken place. Would the survivors of the catastrophe attempt to rebuild their previous civilizations or make completely new groups and new ways of living? And with these new "factions" so to speak, how well will they get along with each other? These questions are just a few that come to mind when the thought of the situation emerged in my head.

Most of my fascinations come from the Fallout series. Even though it's a game, our world in its current state has the ability to destroy itself, very easily too. But maybe it's time for another disaster to happen. Nothing extremely drastic has happened since Chernobyl, though that only affected one country. It could be time for something as drastic as nuclear fallout to happen to all civilization, and not just because it would be "cool", but because it could potentially fix conflicts. But it could also increase tensions between civilizations.

With how a majority or the countries are today, it can easily be said that they are doing less than okay. Civil wars, economic issues, and tensions between world powers are seen everyday in this day and age. I say it's time to pull the plug and start over. Let the countries destroy themselves then realize what they actually did. Millions of lives will be lost in the process but at the same time the world can start over. Undo all past mistakes and start fresh. The immensity of the situation will open the eyes of survivors, helping them realize that conflict is never a good thing. A society is needed where instead of fighting all the time, we are working together and helping out our neighbors instead of trying to control them.

    tl;dr
What The Fuck All That Says:
A nuclear fallout is needed to fix all of the worlds issues and open the eyes of everyone in the world, showing them that fighting is not the answer.

I'd like to think a nuclear fallout would change the world...

Then I think about how MPGH would be gone and then it would require me to have a life.

Then I stop thinking about it.

That sounds like an awful idea. I imagine a bunch of survivor gangs that kill each other to scavenge what's left of the Earth.

Yeah, and they will all have weird punk-rocker hairdo's for some odd reason.

How about just nuking humanity into inexistence?
I am the seer in the dark,
    the vagabond of yore,
    valediction.
I am the sum of all your parts,
    and proprietor of all.
    A miasma,
    the conclusion,
    blackmonger of Inlé,
    valediction.
    Synapses fray,
    my form now vivid,
as torpor sets and blood grows tepid.
With every ounce of flesh now offered,
I hold your corpse within my coffers.
    Knitted cells now split asunder,
    stand alongside me brother.
Take your place amongst my Owsla,
we march at dawn now and forever.

I feel like there is still a chance that humans can fix themselves. It will be survival of the fittest and all of the lazy will be wiped out. Its like a reset button only the button is a nuke and it wipes all the bad away.

Humanity has rebuilt itself so many times already and nothing ever changes. Face it, we're shit beings.

This song's lyrics explain it rather well:

In a way it'd solve everything. No way the survivors will cooperate. That's just not how humanity works. Even if 100k people survive, if there are as much as 5 people that'd love killing everyone, it's over. Sure, all problems would be gone, along with our race.

Fall Out New vegas is a pretty damn good representation of how earth would be.

A nuclear fallout would do more good than bad, as it would be in vain.

Violence is something that lies in the hearts of men. Their every thought revolves around it. Religion, government, heck even science.

We are what we are, no amount of explosives will fix us.

"Religions are, by definition, metaphors, after all: God is a dream, a hope, a woman, an ironist, a father, a city, a house of many rooms, a watchmaker who left his prize chronometer in the desert, someone who loves you—even, perhaps, against all evidence, a celestial being whose only interest is to make sure your football team, army, business, or marriage thrives, prospers, and triumphs over all opposition. Religions are places to stand and look and act, vantage points from which to view the world. So none of this is happening. Such things could not occur. Never a word of it is literally true.”

And to think we like to call ourselves "Supreme Beings" of the Earth. Animals cooperate better than humans do.

"Religion, ideology, resources, land, spite, love or just because… No matter how pathetic the reason, it’s enough to start war. War will never cease to exist… reasons can be thought up after the fact… human nature pursues strife."

I forgot who said that, but it summarizes the human race well.
