    Moving to another country

I'm not the one doing it, I simply have some questions.
The way the IRS explain it just makes me confused.

Someone I know who lives in Canada isn't having the best time there and never really has.
This person would love to move to Sweden (I'll be providing my home).

So, if someone who has experience with moving to another country could help me out that'd be swell.
I don't care if it's illegally or legally.
Although, I'd much more prefer legally.

How would one go about moving to another country?

Get a visa, book a trip, go to the immigration desk and file papers or whatever at the international airport I assume.

It's sort of strap on time. This person is more or less about to be homeless.

As stated above, doesn't those papers take forever to get though (Honest question, I've been stuck in Sweden my entire life.)

Most likely not possible then, if you want, then fund the person so they don't become homeless, then while you are supporting the person they can get the visa, I'm not really sure how long it takes but probably a while.

This. I never had this issue but at lease here, everything that you need to travel and move or simply update to do so, takes months!
So plan this with time, so that the person there may do everything legally.

It should take about 2-3 weeks to get your Visa approved by VFS.

But if your friend is a Citizen of Canada and has a valid Passport for at least 3 months, he doesn't need a Visa to go to Sweden.
But he will only be allowed to stay in Sweden for 90 days.

If he gets a good job there, the Employer or sponsor can extend his Visa .. I think.
It's like that in New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. (These are countries I visited and some of my relatives did it. They went to another country for a visit, then got a job. They did good and the employer gave them extended/permanent visa.)

I'm not sure if he can do it in Sweden.

Yeah, but how can he guarantee a job which can extend his visa, you would need to have a pretty sturdy and rewarding job for someone to do that wouldn't you?

How do you mean by fund?
Like send money so they will have money?

Sweden is rather backwards if you ask me, it's also sort of hard to plan on being homeless, that's normally something you wouldn't think of, just as you wouldn't think of being dumped or getting run over by a car, it happens.

Lifetime in Sweden is weak. Gay jokes aside, I think the person would've have to somehow show that we've been married for a set amount of time in order for that to work anyway.

That's actually the link I looked into as well, for me it felt like gibberish,
Anyhow, so the trip here is already set, if the person in question were to stay here and apply for jobs would that suffice?
I know how lame the workmarket here is.

If not, would getting a job here make it so the person could stay while working while accumulating the needed days to be able to apply for citizenship?

As I can see you living in Sweden, would having a job suffice as a reason to stay here while working or would one have to apply for a work visa to accumulate time before citizenship?

    Thanks for all the responses.

I can speak from personal experience.

I moved from INDIA to UNITED STATES

I had to go to Mumbia and take a interview and I passed
then I had to get my indian passport and shit ready to move to united states
I had to have some excort since I was only 9
I came here and after 9 years (18 years old right know) I am finally taking citiizen ship test in 4 months.
Also if your not going to take the citizien ship test you have to renew your passport every 5 years i think
