¿¿¿¿

its not 48/(2(9+3))
its 48/2(9+3)

so lets open all brackets

48/2*(12)
48/2*12

24*12

288

/ .

3. There are two rules, the PEMDAS rule or BODMAS rule. I think people are getting confused with these 2 rules. My first advice is go back to grade 7. Next I shall explain my children.

PEMDAS rule in this case we do Parentheses (aka brackets) which everyone has done. Same applies with BODMAS.
48÷2(9+3)=
48÷2x12=

Next rule in this case we do Multiplication and division. Noticed how I said AND. This is where people are messing up.
48÷2x12=

BODMAS Rules says Divide then Multiply and PEMDAS says Multiply then Divide. However, what they are both saying is do division and multiplication from left to right in order. Both of them have equal priority, but if they come first, they get solved first.
This leaves us with:
24x12=288

Here's the rules for people who don't know them

I thought it was 2 too...

The answer is 288. I also don't consider this being trolling. Its educating the members of MPGH.

6. op just discovered dinosaur age photos

7. What @Priaros said. Also to confirm using fancy CAS (computer algebra system) software by Texas Instruments (same as my graphics calculator):

Also WolframAlpha just to double-check:

8. GG everyone.

9. It's 228. Oh lord, didn't anyone here learn math? 48÷2(9+3)= ?
First is the brackets so we have 48/2(12) = ?
then the multiplication/division 24(12)= ?
Which will leave us with 288 . I don't believe this small equation made such a massacre .

Everyone got confused with which comes first, the multiplication or the division. And the answer was from left to right.

16. No , Follow the rule of order of operation "BIDMAS"

1. Brackets - 48 ÷ 2 (12 )
2. Indices - NIL
3. Division - 24 (12)
