    Reinstall the game and make CF as a save file in your anti virus!

    deactivate your anti virus if its AVG. And if its not you have to do a windows update, then reinstall the game.

    no need to re-install CrossFire just make a simple change on the LatestVersion in version file, and then it will update the game then works fine.
    make sure the data in the version file are like this:
    [VERSION]
    LatestVersion = 1115
    MinimalVersion= 1100
    OwnVersion = 5

    [DOWNLOAD]
    server1 = https://cfpatch.z8games.com/download/

    [SERVER]
    COUNT = 1
    IP1 =74.200.6.133
    PORT1 =13008

    [HGW]
    PORT=16666
    SERVER1=74.200.6.161
    SERVER2=74.200.6.163
    POD1=50
    POD2=50
