You're wrong though.
I get help at the start, through the middle, and at the end (if it exists). The MSDN, Google and its indexes, and Intellisense are huge helps, and I'd be no where without them.
#2 depends on you. I was well known before I made hacks.
#3 That also odepends on you, and your desires and commitment.
#4 Again, like #3.
#5 I don't know about everyone else, but I never quit. I just move onto other things that I am now able to do and no interest me that didn't before.

c&p is no problem. everyone needs help sometime and i will bet that big programming companies get help from somewhere sometime..
