Multiplayer Socialization and Create-a-Class 2.0[leeched]
In this video interview Josh Olin talks about a couple of multiplayer ideas Treyarch is planning to implement. We recapped it for you as this pretty much sums up everything we know about multiplayer mode at this point.
While Treyarch is still not talking about the multiplayer mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops, there are a couple of things they did share with the community. Two major things are being implemented that will change the way you will play multiplayer.
This is not the official name for it, as it can as well be called create-a-class 5.0 because of the major improvements, but this will allow us gamers to customize our load-out in a complete new level of depth and make our own online identity. No hard facts, but by the sounds of it you will be able to completely customize and modifying your weapon and character like how S.O.G. members used to do in real life back in the Cold War era.
With a community this big, many gamers like to play together for a better multiplayer experience, whether this is with just a friend, a group of friends or maybe even a clan for the more die-hard gamer that might want to play online in a tournament. This spiked our interests the most, online tournaments? Interesting... With Black Ops, Treyarch wants to make the transition between what happens outside of the battlefield socially and what happens on it while gaming as seamless as possible.
Part of this, of course, is dedicated servers for PC. We don't expect consoles to have this option, even though it would be a welcome gift!
Furthermore, Josh confirmed (if we hadn't covered that before, we probably have) a 2 player split-screen and 4 player online co-op game modes. He says it will be announced later on this year, so still no lead if we'll be having Viet Cong Zombies or maybe something different..., better?
I apologize for the crappy quality for the video but it's the words that count
say thx :P
