I've always been a techno-head, though my electronica-genre dates in the 90's. I'm not a fan of the new stuff whatsoever, as it gets so old and repetitive. Everyone is trying to "make it big", rather than creating their music from the heart. They copy styles and it ends up causing the electronica to blend together into a genre of noise, rather than a symphonic background culture as it used to be.
I love every genre of music, all of them, EXCEPT: Nigger rap (rapping about bitches, getting "big", and money) and inbred country (songs about fucking their sister, pickup trucks, and crappy beer). I do like rap in the sense of hip-hop (true hip-hop, the kind of music that came from inspiration and the soul), and I do like southern music (country but in the sense of songs based around the beauty of the scenery, enjoying the mellow life in rural settings, and music based around hard-work and toiling for what they deserve).
Your song isn't bad, though I can tell you're still learning. Take the hi-hate you have now, and dampen it. Also, set it up so it hits at 1 and 3, and set up a separate hi-hat with a dampened reverse "thud" (that slight bassy feel you get from certain hi-hats in clubish music), at 2 and 4. It will really add to the song, it doesn't seem like it but it will give it a "groovy" feel to it. It's a bit bland (no offense) at the moment. Also, instead of having some of the synths just cut off, add a slight reverb effect and a pitch roll with a decrescendo to them (quick decrescendo, lasting no longer than 8 counts) before they cut out. You should really only have the synths cut out twice in an EDM based groove such as your song, and when they come back in you should have a low volume reverse crash suck it back into the groove to give it that "we cut it off, BUT IT'S BACK!" feel.
