Are you suprised that its rated so high or so low? If so low, (if you've seen the whole thing, I might include some spoilers, so be warned lol). In my opinion SAO was extremely good and could earned up to a 9.5 if they kept it purely SAO related. After the game ends and the 2nd story arc begins with Alfheim, it became a step down from SAO. With all the "forbidden love" between Kirito and his sister, it got pretty stupid. In all honesty, I only watched it until the end because 1.) I was on winter break and I had nothing better to do with my life. 2.) It was like 2 AM in the morning and I was still stuck on the beautiful relationship between Kirito and Asuna (I fell in love with their love lol) and I just wanted to see them re-united but I didn't think it would take 12ish episodes to find her.. Hopefully Gun Gale Online will be a step up from Sword Art Online (if possible).
