I doubt the whole IM thing will be fixed by asking Dave for a "amount of money to get the damn IM finished". Also I don't feel as if many people would be willing to pay for a system we specifically don't want.

dave is the only person who has any say over it, if he thinks it needs to be changed he will make a thread and do so accordingly, all these posts in general aren't just suddenly going to change his mind.
