Do gmod vac bans affect other games?

title and what are the chances of getting vac banned by injecting, say, external.dll?

Garry's Mod hasn't used VAC as an anticheat for around 4 years now, it's purely authentication. You CANNOT get banned as the actual anticheat modules don't ship with the game anymore.
