Well, you can jailbreak it now even if it is at 5.0
Update it to iOS5 & jailbreak.
Try it like daat.
Update your iPhone 4 to 5.0.1
Download the newest redsn0w and follow the instructions
If you're using a carrier unlock, go to custom settings and check preserve baseband
Upgrade it to 5.01.
Then you should be able to...

You can easily jailbreak an iPhone 4 4.3.5
