I think it has to be recent, like within a week or two to show.

It gets deleted.

Eventually deleted by cron and just redirects you back to the homepage, but good for retrieving the last few.

Yeah it eventually gets deleted, I tried to access like 5 people's previous avatars and all it said was page not found. :l
