I think you're way too late.
OT: Guild Wars 2 was terrible other than the world PVP which was decently entertaining for about a month. (And even though I haven't played it for months now, I doubt it's active enough to support a healthy community, crossing this off the list of things GW2 was good for.)
Loses it's charm fast, and just about everything else about the game is horrendous. But you can waste your money if you'd like, I wont stop you.
If you'd like to play an MMORPG, I'd gladly suggest Rift.
The only good way to earn xp is by exploring places and doing shitty chores for people. You don't even gain a whole lot exp for killing mobs, which is pretty stupid imo.
I think it would be better, if you read reviews in net. I don't think here are many, who play the game.

Wow, I'm actually surprised at how many bad reviews there are.
I thought this game was the shit and was considering buying it.
My gw2 account was hijacked when i was keylogged in december 2012, I got my account a few weeks ago to find a level 80 on it, i was playing on it, its pretty shitty. Very boring and nothing really to do in my opinionQuote:

I bought it because Angry Joe gave a really long review explaining why he loved it and he usually doesn't do that with many games.
After hitting lvl 40 the game had lost it's charm and their method of getting xp (exploring grants you more xp while killing things grants you HARDLY ANYTHING) was not my thing.
Haven't logged in since.
I'm sure Angry Joe doesn't even play it anymore.

it was cool n stuff until i actually started playing it, although it was during the beta but i can imagine it changing that much on launch
never liked the hybrid class system
As far as mmo's go it's a decent game, I maxed out 3 characters relatively quickly.
Doing Dungeon runs was really the only thing fun left to do, and after a while even that got redundant.
I think most mmorpg's are like that though, fun at first, then yeah.. everything just gets repetitive.
The biggest trend right now for mmo's are open world survival games it seems lately.
