You have to make sure the link is the direct image link. For example an i.imgur.com works, but imgur.com/a/xxxxxx album links don't.

Is the name invalid (1 or 2 characters long) or just a good username? Account age doesn't seem old enough to have been registered with a now invalid username.

I think it's r_drawclipbrushes or mat_normalmaps 1, but I'm probably wrong. You'll probably need sv_cheats 1 enabled as well.

Basically if I were to go and intentionally download a cheat that I knew for a fact was detected, if I connected to a VAC server I would be banned quickly. Not sure exactly how long as it can vary...

Taking a few months to get banned is more of a CS:GO thing, they will flag pay to cheat users and then ban them all in one massive wave....

If you are referring to the little icon on the loading screens that says something like "Connecting to a VAC secured server" with the shield, then it's not always accurate. Try launching the game in...

Most Valve games only have a problem if you join a VAC secured server. I think you should be okay if it was just a local server. If the cheat you were using is VAC detected usually you get banned...
