Sorry for a slow answer, no, it's not detected, MW3 SP has no anti-cheat, so you can use it without worrying about getting banned.

Try temporaily disabling your antivirus, it might be interfering with the hack..

I'm not sure about the DVAR, I think that Kenshin sent the address to me a long time ago because I wasn't able to find it, either..
So you should try looking for some references to this address in Olly/IDA..

I can, altough Online is a quite different game, so you will, most likely, have to reverse the game code and find function, structures, change the code a lot, so yea.
