Holy fucking balls that's a big SSD.
wtf I don't even have a SSD in my 1500$ pc setup.
SSD's are quite useful but what you can do with 16TB of storage? Seriously.. I have a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD and it's more than enough for me.
ssd's are not going to last long so not worth buying but if you have a normal hard drive and use that for important storage then maybe
that ssd can come in handy
SSDs last longer than HDDs do. HDDs have moving parts where as SSDs don't. I don't know what makes you think that SSDs don't last longer when it is one of their biggest benefits. Failures with HDDs are far more common than SSD failures. If you run Raid 0 yes you might lose data with SSDs but it is never recommended to run storage as Raid 0 due to high chance of failure.
If we talk about big data SSDs, cloud storage for an example, it might be little different story in terms of reliability. But as long as we are on consumer level SSD will outperform HDDs in reliability. SSDs survive different tempatures, they survive falls and drops. You are again talking about something you have clearly no idea about.

That again is wrong on so many levels. In order to kill modern SSD with writing/reading you have to write petabytes, without having pauses. No consumer will ever need to write that much data continuously. Yes you can kill/decrease SSD with writing/reading a lot, but HDD will die quicker than SSD would. Again a really stupid example. Even if you manage to write/read thousands of terabytes per year you have to take in the condition factor. Modern SSD will outlast HDD in every possible way in consumer use.
When consumer SSDs came out yes they were affected by big read/write loads. But that was 4 years ago and MLC SSDs aren't really sold anymore. But even back then MLC SSDs lifespan was ~10 years at normal use which is bigger than HDDs lifespan.
You honestly don't need an SSD with more than 500GB of storage unless you're doing some serious computing lol
So how many fingers and toes do they want for this fantastic piece of hardware.

i think we don't need so large SSDs in this time. Maybe we use later in 2-3 years only so larges SSDs. This is the reason why i love technical things so hard^^ Today it's okay, later it sucks
