    Better Monitor?

So I've been looking around at some new gaming monitors recently, and I think I've narrowed it down to two monitors.

The first one is linked here
This monitor seems pretty nice for what I need, but then there's also this monitor. The second one is cheaper, but as far as I can tell the only difference between the two is that the cheaper one has a 4ms delay while the more expensive one has a higher 5ms delay. So is the cheaper monitor better? (TBH I don't care about the delay as long as it's not big, as in the 1ms difference doesn't matter too much to me)

Acer vs. ASUS. Both have excellent Curved Displays. ASUS comes 100Hz out the box (If I know right) and can turn to the left and right a littlebit with its stand. Acer on the other hand draws less power (+40W less). It all depends on which company you want and if you want to be a Predator or a ROG User. (Oh and Acer's Monitor requires you to overclock it if you want the ~100Hz)

I would recommend among those two monitors that you get the Asus if your system is capable of pushing around 100 fps consistently at high resolutions. Thanks to G-sync you should be good if you can't, but if you can and you're not comfortable with over clocking your monitor (should be easy and simple anyways) it'll just be easier to have 100 hertz out of the box

My system should be more than capable with SLI 1080's to reach 100 fps at times. You think it'd be better to get the cheaper monitor then? How about if I didn't care about the price? I'd imagine I should just get the ASUS then.

Both monitors are capable of 100FPS. The only big difference are that the ASUS has 100FPS out the box while Acer requires you to overclock it. Both Monitors are VESA 100x100 compatible so if you plan on mounting them that'll be the only big difference.

That's pretty much what I said.
I actually didn't really look at the price, the monitors are really similar with the only big difference being out of the box refresh rates.
Also it has half a star higher rating on Amazon.

If your system can support both monitors without any problems i guess both of them would work. Acer and Asus are my two favorite brands when it comes to gaming

Oh, sorry about that, probably have read it wrong. My bad! The price difference is about $100. ASUS being the more expensive variant.

Most games can't support a wide display. The refresh rate is pretty good considering the resolution but like I said, if games can't support the resolution you aren't getting the full effect. An immersive feeling is pretty good but when you are competative about gaming, I would stick with a traditional monitor.

If you want a solid monitor that your rig would crush, I suggest getting a 1440p display with a really high refresh rate and response time. G-Sync couldn't hurt as well.

I currently have this for my rig: https://www.amazon.com/SWIFT-PG279Q-...ds=asus+pg279q

Extremely high refresh rate, get response time, G-Sync, amazing 1440p display...

I think its one of the best out there.

Wish I could get such a great Monitor...too bad that I have to sell my kidney to afford them.

I think acer xb271hu is better than this asus model, due to the fact that its 50$ cheaper and acer has much better panel quality control, leading to less deadpixel and backlight bleeding issues.

Or you can just play it 'safe' and go with the TN Model. It has worse contrast and typical viewing angle problems, but other then that it's on par with the IPS Model. Costs around $200 less or so as well, I think. Oh and, no bleeding.

If you got 1080 sli, and looking to dish out a grand on a monitor i think a 1100-1300$ curved 100hz one is probably the go to.

I think the ASUD one is pretty good. They're both so expensive though, holy shit.
