Gonna start off by saying Macklemore is a terrible artist.

This song is EXACTLY like every other song this clown has ever made. The intro starts with some harmonizing and then mixes into him basically speaking in a monotone "rap" tone. After he finishes a specific part of the intro the beat comes in and his monotone-ness goes away (how macklemore of you macklemore). The female vocals are actually pretty nice, reminds me of Amy Winehouse, RIP. I wish I could listen to this song by another artist which is the sad part. The beat is nice, the beat movements are nice but his voice doesn't remotely fit on it. His story that he's attempting to display doesn't get across very well because of how uneven the beat mixed with his voice is. The hook (female vocals) is much better at portraying the story because her voice fits the song.
