Are you considering a standard game? 500 turns? Are you planning to play all 500 turns or until someone wins, non-stop?

I forgot what the game settings are titled, but set to the fastest pace one and probably no time limit? So until someone wins. Those are the best games imo.

I'd like to do with DLC but not everyone will have them all. So I guess base game, and we'll see how many people are on board first to decide about NPCs. I think ideally no NPCs unless people drop out, but I'd rather people actually stay through the game.

The game with full expansions is $30-40 on Steam right now, but we're only gonna be taking people who are familiar with the game as it's not something you can just pickup and play right away.

I heard civ6 with the recent updates is better or "fixed" rather but I still think it's not as good as 5 no? In my opinion and usually what I hear around from others. Only played 2-3 games of civ6 rest only 5 so far

I've never played Civ6 with other people, but isn't the AI and some of the game play stuff pretty shit? The game had mostly negative reviews for a really long time I remember, until gathering storm update I think.

nah both games are good, civ5 has a ton of micromanagement and civ6 is less of that and more in depth gameplay
it's more of a different track vs an update
