Same here. They seemed to have turned PB on most of the servers that originally didn't have it on. But it still works with or without it.

Well instead of clicking on "play now" click on Multiplayer > Server Browser. Let it load the list, when it's done, at the right side tick every box except Punkbuster (including Ranked, if you don't want ranked, uncheck it of course) then click Filter. Maybe a full refresh would do you some good, then just join a server with like 31 out of 32 players but with a low latency and you're in a non-pb server
