I agree, probably because it is considered "art" and like "art" it is up to the interpreter to come up with their own conclusions, and me, I am way to lazy to try and figure out what a "poet" is trying to express.

I had a poetry class and the teacher told us to right a poem and so I writ random works which rhymed and then I gave it too the teacher and he asked me what it meant so I told him "It's poetry it doesn't mean anything"

Poetry, imho, is supposed to be hard. It expresses yourself and your feelings on a subject, so thats why so many have trouble with it (because so many people are trying to act cool and be like some other person they saw)
