Well i have been discussing with Dave and we came to a point where he liked my idea

Do you guys want to buy @mpgh.net msn accounts? as in instead of xxxx@live.com or xxxx@hotmail.com it can be xxxx@mpgh.net and it works as good as a @live.com account would but this shows your representing your former forum MPGH.net

There will be a poll attached to this so answer quick.

Yeah, there are thousands of free online email clients, the only problem would be sorting out the email server (with so many accounts it could get quites stressed). Oh and I suggest only allowing to have your nickname as your email user name /yea

Just for elaboration purposes, if you do not know what that means it means this; Your MPGH Username would be used for you MPGH Email Address, For Example Mine Would be Xion7200@MPGH.net

I wouldn't buy one, but yah It'd be a good idea IF it worked with msn. Or if someone made a chat client for us.

The only thing i could think of is some sort of shout box inside the forum. Would be a good idea imo, but one which allowed you to have 1 on 1 convo's.

I'm talking about the server. You can't make "msn" accounts, you have to make normal email / Live accounts and then hand those out. Now unless Dave wants to pay for the email hosting and crap, he can use the current email servers (I think he has some ) and put on a free web client. But if the whole mpgh.net email address thing got popular, the email servers might get overloaded /

What about when a staff member loses his position? Afaik even if they remove the email you can still use it for your wlm. Dunno what happens if you have one of those Live things with your domain though (but that costs some money and I doubt Dave would pay) ...
